TM Movie News: Lincoln, Hobbit, Avatar 2 & more

Hi, Trash Mutants! Movie News time!

• Photos were released of the set of Thor: The Dark World, and I couldn’t be more excited. If this movie’s anything like the last one, fans shouldn’t worry about it. Everyone looks like they’re having fun!
  

• Speaking of Marvel, The Avengers big box set that included all the Avengers movies and a suitcase that looked like the one Nick Fury had in the movie is being pushed back for release. The German company who created the suitcase, on which the box set was designed on, is suing Marvel. Sorry about that, collectors.
  

• James Cameron said in an interview that Avatar 2 will focus on Pandora's oceans, and this will reflect on the issues with today's oceans on Earth. Figures. The man loves him some oceans. He also said that Avatar 4, if it’ll be made, will be a prequel to the events in the first one.

• In more sequel news, The Hangover 3, there will be no wedding or bachelor party this time. It’ll be about a road trip instead. Great news because the second one was such a letdown because it was the same movie as the first one… Except with more penises and a monkey.

• As if that sequel news wasn’t enough, the next Star Trek movie, Star Trek into Darkness, will be converted to 3D. Make of that what you will, Trek fans.
  

• And yet again with the sequel news, Safe House 2 is happening because why? I’ve never seen the first one, but fans of the film are saying that it’s a complete waste of time. Boo!

• In non-sequel news (kind of), Act of Valor, basically, Call of Duty: The Movie, is going to be a TV show because we love us some COD, apparently.

• Photos were released of the hobbits in The Hobbit, so rejoice, hobbit fans!

• A photo of Leatherface is out for Texas Chainsaw 3D. Cool.
  

We're still waiting to see his leathery face, though.

• In the last bit of actual movie news, the Robocop remake’s script has apparently been leaked, and for those that actually got a hold of it reported that it isn’t bad. Good for the movie, kind of?

• Lots of posters have been released for the movies Codename: Geronimo (about the killing of Osama Bin Laden), The Collection (sequel to The Collector), and Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem:
  

• Trailers recently released of the movies Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Monsters Inc. 3D, and Cloud Atlas are all out and ready to watch, as well as a teaser FOR the teaser of Lincoln.
  

• Finally, and perhaps the biggest story for this article is the tragic death of actor Michael Clarke Duncan. Unfortunately, Duncan had died from a heart attack he had last July, and he never made a full recovery. Our thoughts go out to his family. And this is truly a huge loss to the film industry. Starring as the Kingpin in Daredevil, and perhaps, one of the best performances I have ever seen, John Coffey in The Green Mile, Michael Clarke Duncan will be terribly missed. Rest in peace, big guy.
