WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?

Well, the name of the whole thing probably already gave you a clue, but let's talk all the details!
It's a competition sort of thing. We're looking for visual artists that will create and submit their rendering of Ol' Trashy (that's him in our site's header and it's him right above in the initiative banner!). He can look like our version (red eyes, bad teeth, the whole deal) or he can be completely reimagined by you. As long as he's definitely a Trash Mutant, he qualifies! It doesn't even necessarily have to be a "he", it can be a "she" or an "it". We leave that up to you! The more diverse and creative the submissions, the better! Whatever technique of drawing/painting/whatever you like the most is fine, just as long as what you send us is an image and fits the "trash mutant" description (however, if it also fits the site's look than that will probably get some additional points... more on that below).


WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE SUBMISSIONS?

All the best submissions will be published in an article (if there's many of them then it might be a two-parter) here on Trash Mutant. From those, we will choose the few we really, really love the most and decide on a winner. The winning submission will be announced in an article of its own. Some of the works we like the most may also be immortalized on some pages here on Trash Mutant. Of course all the art that we will publish here will be credited to you and we'll provide a link to your website/portfolio or some other plug like that. Winning submission and it's author will also get a little extra exposure and shine here!


HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

• Your submission has to be a JPG file, or better yet a PNG file.

• You email your submission to [email protected], with the email subject line being "DRAW TRASH MUTANT".

• Make sure to include your name (or a name you'd like to be credited under) in the email. You can also include any links to your art page or your website or something about yourself (but make it short and to the point). If we publish your submission then we'll include that info along with any additional links to your stuff you provided, so people can check it out.
• When you send the email you automatically agree to your submission being posted on TrashMutant.com.
• Last but not least, don't email us asking if we got your message, because we more than likely did. Unless you got a "mail failure notice" or whatever, then just send it again, making sure you got the address right etc.

WHAT'S THE DEADLINE?

The deadline for the first edition of "Draw Trash Mutant" is May 26th 2013 (that's a Sunday, and you can send your submissions until midnight!). Follow us on Twitter (@TrashMutant) or "like" us on Facebook where we will post all the updates on "Draw Trash Mutant".


Most of all, we hope you guys will have some fun with this! Because drawing is fun, drawing Trash Mutants is even funner and competitions are the funnerest! So get to work, artists!
