Top 5 games of E3 2012The E3 is the biggest event of the gaming world. The games announced this year ranged from "why do they even bother?" to "holy crap, when is this coming out?!?". We're only interested in the good ones here on Trash Mutant so Ninja Ross took a look at the titles that were shown at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo and came up with this list of top 5 games you should be looking forward to!
5. Splinter Cell: Blacklist
What is this crap? I don’t want to put it on a “best of” anything list because this isn’t Splinter Cell, but it at least deserves last place on my list because it looks like a very solid game. The mark and execute feature looks more solid than it did in conviction and the controls overall seem a lot smoother. But it’s not Splinter Cell. I know, I need to “move with the times” but it’s not Splinter Cell. I’d be super excited for this game if it was a brand new franchise but it’s not. I’d also like to point out that it’s not Micheal Ironside playing Sam Fisher. Did they get a guy who sounds exactly like him? No, they got Eric Johnson instead. I don’t have a problem with him but he’s not exactly similar, is he? 4. Dead Space 3
Meh... Meh... Meeeeeeh. I love Dead Space and this does look awesome but... meh. I’m not excited, really. There was no real gameplay shown so I can’t say if that’s any good but it’s probably smoother than the last two. I’m not sure if having a partner is a good thing, though. Kind of ruins the alone feeling, doesn’t it? Alooooooone isn’t aloooooooooone when you’re stomping on necromorphs with an angry partner. Overall, though, it looks fun if not as fun as the previous two. 3. Hitman: Absolution
I think this game is here mostly because I love the franchise but I have to admit, what I’ve seen worries me. I don’t care about how he beats up the sexy nuns. Way I see it, they started shooting him with guns. Clones have no chivalry! They’re gonna mess up anybody, boobs or no boobs! It’s what they’re made for, they are literally born to kill. I don’t know what to think, I really don’t. I'm optimistic and I plan on just turning the little guide thing off so it’s more like classic Hitman but... we will see! WE WILL SEE! 2. Watch Dogs
This game... Oh, wow, this game. Wow... I’m thinking this is gonna kick the crap out of GTA, in terms of gameplay and story. It looks kind of like a more action orientated Heavy Rain and that, my friends, it something to keep an eye on. For me, this game came out of nowhere, I’d heard the name somewhere and assumed it would be some game... That I would not like, but no, I’m regretting not keeping up with it. I need to get this game. 1. Dishonored
I’m in love with this game and I’m not talking about that creepy love between two humans, I’m talking about the real love between a man and a video game. The gameplay looks more than solid, it looks incredible. Magic powers and weapons! Steampunk settings and robots! MEN ON STILTS! Seriously, this game is going to be something special. One of those games I’ll be talking about when I’m 92 and I’m trying to convince aliens made of gas that the human race is worth saving for the video games they create. I hope so, anyway. |
