TM Movie News: Arnold in Avatar 2? Bill & Ted 3? And more!

Yet another slow week for movie news, Trash Muties, but fear not! I have stories and stuff you guys need to look at! Avatar! Assassins Creed! Other Stuff! Trash Mutant Movie News coming atcha!

Avatar 2:

• According to a semi-reliable source, the villain for James Cameron’s Avatar sequel will be none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger! Cameron and Arnold have previously worked together on those little movies called Terminator, Terminator 2, and True Lies, so this may not be complete bologna! Still, take it with a grain of salt, because mum’s the word on both Cameron and Arnie. Exciting, though! I’d love to see them work together again!

Bill & Ted 3:

• It looks as if that fabled Bill & Ted sequel has gone the way of that alleged Ghostbusters sequel. Last March, everything looked like it was right on track when Alex Winter (Bill) had this to say about this triumphant sequel: “There’s no drama,” he said “There’s no legal skirmish. There’s no nothing. There’s me, Keanu, (writers) Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, the original core. We built a story. They wrote a script. We’re tinkering with the script to get it perfect. Then we will go get the money. Then we will shoot it. And that’s really all there is to it.”

But after Keanu Reeves’s latest update on the project, it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer. Here’s what he had to say about that: “There’s lots of subterfuge and conspiracy theories. There’s a whole thing… I might have to do one of those independent press, conspiracy, other-name kind of (releases) explaining why it hasn’t happened yet, because it’s pretty dark out there.” he continued, “There’s all sorts of stuff and it just can’t — it’s just — there’s darkness out there that’s keeping it from happening… It’s that part of the story where it’s looking grim. It’s the dark period of the idea!” Bogus…

Insidious 3:

• As Insidious 2 continues to make lots and lots of money, it’s no surprise that a sequel is already in the works! Apparently everyone’s on board except for director James Wan, who claims he’s “officially done with horror.” Bummer! I still haven’t seen Insidious 2 yet (I plan to), but the movie has to be doing something right to warrant that sequel. Stay tuned for that, kiddies.

• Michael Fassbender gives the internet an update on what’s up with that Prometheus sequel, how the Assassin’s Creed film is going, and what we can expect from the next X-Men movie! He’s a great man so LOOK AT IT!
